Born and raised in western Wisconsin, Chad began hunting during his teenage years but was quickly turned away by the prevalent "brown its down" mentality that seemed to dominate the hunting culture at the time. However, his love for the outdoors was always there. While running his company Wehrs Machine, Chad decided to take a leap of faith and invest in a piece of land for him and his 2 teenage boys to enjoy the outdoors.

In year one of land ownership, Chad found himself relying on industry-leading products that consistently fell short of his expectations. Most of these products were manufactured overseas and lacked the craftsmanship and quality that Chad was accustomed to with his racing products.

Frustrated by the lack of American-made, high-quality hunting gear, Chad saw an opportunity to merge his expertise in manufacturing with his newfound passion for the outdoors. And thus, Trick Outdoors was born—a company dedicated to producing premium hunting products that are proudly made in the USA.
